Kayla Weems

Director of Operations

Kayla is the director of operations at the Nevada Policy Research Institute. As a recent transplant from Chicago, Weems comes to NPRI from the Illinois Policy Institute, the free-market think tank located in Chicago.

Prior to joining the freedom movement, she worked in marketing, public relations and events for a variety of industries. Kayla started her career at the Chicago Sun-Times in public relations helping in the creation of the Sun-Times Foundation, while also assisting in the launch of a tech startup at the South by Southwest Festival. Most recently, Kayla acted as the media relations manager for the Illinois Policy Institute.

Kayla graduated from Grand Valley State University with a B.S. in Event Management.
