Consider a gift to Nevada Policy funded by transferring all or some portion of an IRA as a gift or as a living memorial.
An IRA charitable rollover allows you to move up to $100,000 from your traditional or Roth IRA directly to Nevada Policy as a charitable gift and not pay federal income tax on the gift. A donor of this type of gift must be age 70 1/2 years of age or higher. Also, keep in mind if you are considering a gift of this type, your RMD for 2020 is based on your account value as of 12/31/2019.
To qualify, the distribution must be made directly from your IRA administrator to Nevada Policy and must be completed by December 31. Please have your IRA administrator include your name as the donor so we can thank you properly.
In all cases, Nevada Policy recommends that you consult with your attorney or financial planner about the potential tax benefits related to your gift.
