Government is the biggest ‘special interest’ in the legislature

This event is over, but you can click here to watch a recording.

When most people think of so-called “special interests,” they think of teams of lobbyists funded by casino moguls, mining conglomerates or some politically connected industry grifting for government favoritism.

However, there remains a special interest far more destructive to good governance than any for-profit group of politically connected industrialists: That special interest is government, itself.

Nevada Policy will host a roundtable discussion on how our tax dollars are being used to promote the interests of government over those of taxpayers, businesses and Nevada residents—and what can be done about it.
